Jesus talks to a paralyzed man just lowered down by his friends in front of Him, on his sleeping mat, from the roof where they took of tiles, for the crowd was too intense to let them reach Jesus. "Your sins are forgiven", He says to the man. Some, in the crowd, get scandalized and think: "Who does he think he is? Only God can forgive sins!". Jesus knowing what they were thinking asks them "Is it easier to say: 'Your sins are forgiven' or 'Get up and walk'? So to prove you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins", He says to the paralyzed man: "Stand up, take your mat and go on home". Immediately the man jumped to his feet and went home, as everyone was amazed.
