FROM UGANDA ... We use the Mafa pictures as Sunday School teaching aids. I recently explained to the children that the image of Jesus as tall, long-haired, blond and bearded owes more to Flemish and German painters than it does to our Lord's actual appearance. Artists portray Jesus and the events of his life as they imagine him, and the Vie de Jesus Mafa does a wonderfull job of imagining Jesus in an African setting. Thank you for your good work. We and the children really appreciate it.

While I was teaching primary school in Uganda, I purchased a number of your posters and used them as teaching aids for my students.  My students were incredulous when I first tried to tell them that Jesus was not of Western European descent as most of the artwork in Uganda seems to suggest. The images of Vie de Jesus Mafa helped them to identify with Jesus in ways they had not before.
