FROM USA ... About the image of the boy among the teachers of the law in the temple, I think you have done a wonderfull job, capturing the true spirit of the passage. Most western classical art shows Jesus either disputing with the teachers, or teaching them. Jesus is the one speaking and instructing in the temple, elders are the one listening.
But in the passage (Lk 2,41) itself Jesus doesn't teach or dispute, he sits, listens and ask questions. Luke shows us Jesus as a student of the law who respects the jewish traditions. There is no confrontations in the gospel portrayal. Your picture captures that beautifully.
